Beta Install Guide

How to Install BlitzMill

BlitzMill is currently in beta. Your OS will show a security prompt because the installer isn't signed yet. This is normal and safe — follow the steps below to install in under 2 minutes.

Why the warning? Code signing certificates are expensive. Once we launch publicly, all installers will be fully signed.

Download the installer

2

Run the installer

Double-click BlitzMill-Setup.exe in your Downloads folder.

3

You'll see "Windows protected your PC"

This is Windows SmartScreen. It appears for any app that isn't signed with a Microsoft-recognized certificate. Here's how to proceed:

Windows protected your PC

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.

Troubleshooting

Windows: I don't see "More info" on SmartScreen
The "More info" link is small text below the blue shield icon. Look for it underneath the "Windows protected your PC" title. Without clicking it first, the "Run anyway" button won't appear.
Mac: The DMG won't open
Your download may be incomplete. Delete the DMG, re-download, and try again. Make sure you're downloading the right version (Apple Silicon vs Intel).
The app won't launch after install
Windows: Right-click the app and select 'Run as administrator' for the first launch. Mac: Make sure you dragged BlitzMill into the Applications folder before opening it.
I see "Server not responding" or a blank screen
BlitzMill runs a local server on port 3847. Make sure no other app is using that port. Restart BlitzMill. If it persists, contact us.
